Below is a summary of the facilities available to our clients.
Stables
Sturdy construction of brick and timber
We have an American barn and loose boxes.
The American barn is constructed of block and wood with a window for ventilation. The loose boxes are all wood with a window for ventilation. Boxes are checked on a regular basis and any maintenance work is carried out immediately.
Arenas
We have three arenas for our clients:
International size outdoor floodlit arena, with a sand and rubber surface.
40m x 20m floodlit indoor school with superb Andrews Bowen waxed surface.
20m floodlit lunge ring. There is no additional charge to use the arenas. The arenas do not need to be booked in advance they are available for all to use. We just ask that you let us know if you are planning to use the arena for a lesson.

The yard is open: 6am – 9pm (Monday to Saturday) and 6am – 5pm (Sunday)
Bedding
Our standard service offers straw, paper or shavings bedding. We are also happy to accommodate special bedding requirements and will be happy to talk through your needs.

To give you peace of mind we have two isolation boxes 75 metres from the main yard.
Paddocks
Headmore Stud is set in 50 acres of Hampshire countryside. We dedicate 44 acres to paddocks.
Caring for our paddocks
Grazing is carefully managed, with sheep rotating with the horses. Our careful programme of care of paddocks ensures they are kept in the excellent condition for your horse to enjoy.
Worming programme
As a client you will be expected to follow a strict worm control programme for the good of all the horses in the yard. All horses are wormed at the same time. Clients will be charged accordingly and regular worm counts are also taken.
Close to nature
We provide all year turnout for your horse so that they can enjoy the outdoors and not be confined in the stables during the winter.

The condition of all fencing is checked on a regular basis to ensure the safety and security of your horse.
Opening times
Opening times for the arenas are from 6am – 9pm (Monday – Saturday) and 6am – 5pm on Sunday, giving everyone plenty of time to get a ride in, no matter how bad the weather is.
Bank holiday bonus
Life is hectic, and your sport is important to you. The arenas never close for bank holidays – not even on Christmas Day!!
