The Oppenheimer family first started Headmore Livery and Stud in 1988. Over the years, the business has steadily grown to its present size of approximately 45 horses. Set in 50 acres of Hampshire countryside, it boasts outstanding facilities without being a competition centre.
Sarah Oppenheimer, has over 35 years of experience in the equestrian industry, and has been joined in running the farm by her daughter Alice. Alice was a member of the 2009 Young Rider European Dressage Team, winner of six national championships and 18 regionals. Together they help owners maximise their enjoyment with their horses as well as producing homebred top quality young dressage horses to compete and sell. Alice also competes a number of horses for owners.
Sarah and Alice have an outstanding back-up team of vets, physios, farriers and conscientious staff ensuring that every horse receives true five star care.
Our approach to providing care to your horse
Our approach is to provide individual care for each horse and their owner, particularly specialising in producing the ‘happy’ athlete. Our clients range from international dressage horses, eventers and ponies through to retired family friends. Our aim is to make sure you enjoy your sport. We make our facilities available at times which are convenient to you. We create a relaxed and peaceful environment for your and your horses and we work hard to ensure that your horse has a routine which is as close to nature as possible.
